21 years ago, Dr. Crippen developed an International clinical and academic Internet mailing list and website for critical care providers. The site, CCM-L (Critical Care Medicine-List) offers resources for a group of over 1000 multinational participants. Dr. Crippen is interested in ethical and clinical issues of severe brain injury, brain death and withholding/withdrawing life supporting technology in the ICU. When not pursuing clinical duties, Dr. Crippen spends a lot of time on the Internet, owns three vintage British Triumph motorcycles and tours all over the world on a BMW motorcycle.
